Meigs Inc. Wins NFBA Building of the Year Award

The National Frame Builders Association held its annual convention and trade show, Frame Building Expo March 1-3, 2006 in Nashville, Tennessee.

The NFBA Building of the Year Award in the Commercial Unique category was Ken Meigs, Of Meigs, Inc. a Wick Buildings dealer from Black Earth, Wisconsin. It was built for Mt Olympus Water and Theme Park in Wisconsin Dells.

This is a 30' x 72' wide by 376' long x 14' to 47' high structure. The owners were looking for a building shell that would be able to incorporate an existing 70' x 110' block building and add roughly 9,000 additional square foot that could be used for retail areas as well as restrooms to service the theme park. This shell had to meet very specific guidelines in order for them to install their foam front and create the Greek structure appearance.

The unique feature of this building is that it utilizes a foam facade to portray an ancient Greek appearance. The facade wall is up to 47' high. Post-frame design allowed for a cost-effective structure that could be erected in a most timely manner possible. Meigs, Inc. specializes in unique and challenging projects.
