Staff Bios
Here are the people you will meet initially that make up the Meigs Design team. There are others that will be working with you at your project site and more serving you in our office.
Ken Meigs
Co-Owner, General Manager and Design/Project Leader
Ken has been in the construction industry for over 35 years. After years of working for a company that builds pre-packaged buildings, Ken formed Meigs Inc. in 1985 with the idea that he would offer his customers more.
He has sold hundreds of buildings to satisfied customers in that time. Ken's Motto - "If you make the customer a promise... make sure you deliver it. There is only one boss, the customer. Focus totally on customer satisfaction".
Dave Budden
Co-Owner, Professional Engineer and Design/Project Leader
Dave Budden is the engineering mastermind and co-owner at Meigs Inc. With his engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin and more than 20 years experience in the post frame industry, he brings a high level of expertise to the design and construction of every building project at Meigs, Inc. Since joining Ken five years ago he has assisted in the building of 100's of projects.
Dan "Booner" Lucey
Design/Project Leader
Dan Lucey, known to friends and customers as "Booner" grew up in the post frame industry. Booner has over 44 years experience in every aspect of this business, he truly has earned a "Field Engineering Degree." Booner's 100's of agricultural, commercial and residential building projects cover virtually every type of project imaginable. Booner enjoys guiding his customers thru the design-build process. Dave Kaehr
Site and Project Manager
Dave has more than 20 years experience in the construction business that he uses at Meigs as a Project Manager. Dave's main responsibility is to oversee and manage all aspects of the often complex building process. Dave schedules/coordinates all the various phases of construction. Dave enjoys all the interactions with customers and subcontractors turning a pile of materials into a completed structure.
Dan Schlamp
Crew Foreman-Site Leader
Dan has been building post frame buildings for 28 years. He has worked for Meigs for 26 years. Dan has built everything from farm buildings to amusement park buildings and residential. Dan likes working with Meigs, Inc. because we do so many different things with buildings.
Don Pfeil
Crew Foreman-Site Leader
Don started with Wick Buildings in 1984; he became lead man in 1986. Don became standing seam roof foreman in 1999. Don started with Meigs in 2000 as crew foreman erecting a vast array of building types for the last eight years and enjoyed them all. Don enjoys hunting, camping and fishing with his wife of 14 years and 4 boys.
Lewis Taylor
Architectural Designer & Engineering Technician
Lewis Taylor is an architectural designer and engineering technician for Meigs Inc. Lewis earned an Associate Degree in Architectural Technology from Madison Area Technical College. He has utilized his degree and gained valuable experience since entering the construction industry in 2000. Lewis looks forward to the challenge of drawing and designing your building project.
